Baby Massage & Developmental Play (Thur)

Service Description

A new course for babies aged between 6 weeks and crawling and for you, the parents! This course is all about bonding with baby, learning about baby's cues, and their development in these early stages... ...whilst also meeting other parents, checking in and having a hot drink! Courses are run from my cosy warm home at present so groups will be kept small (up to 6), and my baby will also be there! Baby massage has become popular in western culture but its roots are long standing and originate from non western cultures in places such as India and Africa. The art of baby massage is therefore not trendy or new but actually has many many benefits for parent and child in the earliest months of bonding. Learning and practicing baby massage will help to support the overall wellbeing of both you and your baby, focussing on your bond, communication and emotional connection. Baby massage also comes with many health benefits, helping to ease some of those common symptoms you may experience with your little love such as; wind, colic, constipation & teething pain. Baby massage will calmly and sensitively support your baby's development by stimulating all of their senses whilst following their cues. This 5 week course is baby-led which means that throughout the sessions we will check in with baby to ensure they are happy and relaxed. If your baby would like to feed, cuddle or sleep during our session then they are more than welcome to do so. Everything you learn will be repeated week on week with additional content so you will be able to watch and join in when baby feels ready. If baby cries, please DO NOT worry; this is totally normal baby behaviour and we have all been there!

Cancellation Policy

Phone Consultations: Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged in full. If you wish to reschedule an appointment, more than 24 hours notice will be required. Please contact me to do so. Course or Training Cancellations Cancellations made within 7 days for staff training, workshops or speaking events will be charged in full. If you wish to reschedule, I will require at least 48 hours notice.
