Books and Babies

Service Description

For babies 8 weeks - 12 months (pre-walkers only). Children who are read to daily will hear up to a million more words by the time they are 5 years old. Yep! The earlier we start reading to our babies the better! These classes will be interactive, informative and impactful. Whilst learning about how to use books in a variety of ways to support your child's development, yoU will also learn about the process that children go through when learning to read (it's definitely not all about learning letters!). We will use a combination of storytelling, props, songs and story massage to engage the children and develop a love of books right from the start! Reading to babies and young children is so important even if at first they don't understand the words you're saying. By reading to them and introducing books you will be developing: Their communication and language skills. Their understanding. Your bond and connection. Their physical, fine and gross motor skills. Their emotional literacy. Their social understanding. Their understanding of the world. Their sense of self... Just to name a few!

Cancellation Policy

Phone Consultations: Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged in full. If you wish to reschedule an appointment, more than 24 hours notice will be required. Please contact me to do so. Course or Training Cancellations Cancellations made within 7 days for staff training, workshops or speaking events will be charged in full. If you wish to reschedule, I will require at least 48 hours notice.
